Their record in the start of the season was an underwhelming 14-14. A 50+ loss vs the Minnesota Lynx interestingly switched things around for the Aces. A\u2019ja Wilson awakened the beast, and the Aces went on a 16 game winning streak to qualify for the playoffs.<\/p>\n
The Aces went all the way and won the WNBA title, dominating against Phoenix Mercury 4-0. A\u2019ja Wilson has now won 3 WNBA championships, 2 WNBA Finals MVP, 3 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year and 4 WNBA MVP awards. She is also the fastest to reach 5,000 career points in WNBA history. The finals had a couple of close games. Game 1 went right down the wire. Aces won 89-86. Game 2 was in the bag comfortably with 91-78.<\/p>\n Game 3 was 1 game where Mercury came close to winning. But A\u2019ja Wilson made a game winning jumper and won the game 90-88 in the dying second.
