The Boston Bruins are off to a hot start to begin the season and could look to add more talent to the roster.<\/p>\n
The Bruins could upgrade their top-six and add some more scoring to the lineup. NHL analyst Adam Gretz linked Boston to trading for Brennan Othmann of the New York Rangers, who\u2019s name has come up in trade rumors.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt just hasn\u2019t worked out for Othmann in terms of getting a consistent role or consistent playing time in the NHL, while their development seems to have stalled,\u201d Gretz wrote<\/a> in a piece published on Friday, naming the Bruins as one of five potential landing spots.<\/p>\n \u201cOthmann still has talent and upside, but it just does not seem likely he is going to become the player the team wanted in their current situation. Give him a clean slate with a new staff and a new organization, and see what happens.\u201d<\/p>\n The Rangers selected Othmann 16th overall in the 2021 NHL Draft.
