College football fans have gotten their wish<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The people of Alabama will watch one of their own make predictions on college football Saturday from Tuscaloosa.<\/p>\n

James Spann, Alabama\u2019s most beloved meteorologist, will join Paul Finebaum, Tim Tebow and the gang on the set of \u201cSEC Nation\u201d in Tuscaloosa ahead of Alabama\u2019s game with Tennessee.<\/p>\n

\u201cJames has been the most influential television personality in Alabama in my lifetime, and I am his biggest fan,\u201d Finebaum told AL.com on Friday. \u201cSo thrilled he is on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Spann posted the news on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, I didn\u2019t get to be the guest picker on \u2018College GameDay\u2019 a couple of weeks ago, but I WILL be on ESPN\u2019s \u2018SEC Nation\u2019 Saturday,\u201d Spann posted on X. <\/p>\n

\u201cLaura Rutledge, Paul Finebaum, Roman Harper, Jordan Rodgers , Tim Tebow, and James Spann together Saturday morning from 9-11a CT. My segment will be around 10a CT.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this season, when ESPN\u2019s College GameDay was in Tuscaloosa ahead of Alabama-Vanderbilt, it was pointed out that ESPN appears to have issues booking Alabama-centric guest <\/a>pickers when in Tuscaloosa. The announcement of comedian and podcast star Theo Von<\/a> led to a bit of an uproar.<\/p>\n

Spann, a state treasure, was mentioned by fans in AL.com article asking for who you would want to see represent <\/a>the state during the popular college football pregame show.<\/p>\n

It never happened.<\/p>\n

Rece Davis was asked why Spann<\/a> wasn\u2019t the pick. Spann, for reference, has 570,000 followers on X and 341,000 followers on Instagram.<\/p>\n

\u201cJames is the man and all of that,\u201d Davis said. \u201cJames is not as funny as Theo Von. He\u2019s a great guy. If we have rain tomorrow, we\u2019re going to need to reach out to James, but I don\u2019t know. I think we\u2019ve got to go Theo Von. But I\u2019m glad James was in the mix. I thought that was a great little push his fans gave him. He\u2019s a great guy. Does unbelievable work. Tremendous weather guy.\u201d<\/p>\n
