Don\u2019t believe everything you read\u2014at least not when it comes to AI writing WWE shows.<\/p>\n

As rumors swirled online about WWE using artificial intelligence to script storylines, Fightful\u2019s Sean Ross Sapp shut it all down during a Q&A session<\/a> on October 19, 2025. According to Sapp, top-level talent in WWE are not only rejecting the AI claims\u2014they\u2019re pissed about them.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was a very top talent that was like very, very adamant and honestly seemed offended that this was a thing. He\u2019s like, \u2018Man, Ed Koski is not AI. Paul Heyman is not AI. Michael Hayes is not AI.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

That frustration wasn\u2019t isolated. Sapp said several creative team members echoed the same energy, saying they still write scripts the old-fashioned way\u2014by hand, in coordination with the wrestlers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re like, \u2018We write the scripts, we integrate it with the talent, we go over it with the talent. It\u2019s all produced with the talent as well. It is not an AI thing.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

While earlier reports from Wrestling Observer suggested that Cyrus Kowsari was hired to push AI-driven creative at WWE<\/a>, sources inside the locker room say the storylines fans see on TV are still entirely created by humans\u2014no chatbot needed.<\/p>\n

And based on how strongly talent reacted, it sounds like AI won\u2019t be booking WrestleMania anytime soon.<\/p>\n
