\n\tFollowing this weekend\u2019s No Kings protests<\/a>, Robert De Niro<\/a> is continuing to hold Donald Trump<\/a>\u2018s feet to the fire and drive home the messages of the nationwide demonstrations. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe 2x Oscar winner, who helped mobilize<\/a> ahead of Saturday\u2019s protests, went on to warn fellow Americans that \u201cwe have to keep fighting\u201d as the president continues to deploy the National Guard<\/a> to major cities under the guise of keeping peace, ahead of the midterm elections on Tuesday, Nov. 3.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m very happy to see that because we need much more of it going forward,\u201d he said of the protests on MSNBC\u2019s The Weekend<\/a>. \u201cBecause that\u2019s the only thing that the politicians are going to recognize, they either face the wrath of Trump or the wrath of the people. And they have to be more afraid of the wrath of the people and realize, \u2018This is not good. I better strap on my balls and do something about it.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDe Niro added, \u201cWe can\u2019t let up. We cannot let up on them, because he is not gonna leave the White House. He does not wanna leave the White House, he will not leave the White House. Anybody who thinks [he will] is just deluding themselves, they Republicans most of all, because they know. But they\u2019re going along with it. It\u2019s a classic bully situation. We see it, and there\u2019s no other way to face a bully. You have to face him and fight it out, and back him off, and back him down. That\u2019s the only way this is going to work.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter Trump deployed 300 California National Guard troops<\/a> to Oregon, in addition to boots on the ground in Chicago and other major cities, De Niro warned that the military presence is \u201cgonna wear on people\u201d until they don\u2019t have \u201cthe freedom to walk into the polling station and vote without being intimidated.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe have to have a defense against that, an oppositional offense,\u201d he said. \u201cWe have to be strong to counter that situation when it comes, because you know that\u2019s what he\u2019s trying. It\u2019s better to neutralize it now than to worry about it later.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDe Niro added that when Trump\u2019s term is ultimately up, the Supreme Court will \u201cfind a way to go after him for what he\u2019s done, all the awful, monstrous things that he\u2019s done. He\u2019s not gonna wanna leave. Why should he?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Killers of the Flower Moon star previously appeared in a video<\/a> for Indivisible to help mobilize for Saturday\u2019s No Kings<\/a> protest, which the grassroots organization said attracted a turnout of more than 7 million people across all 50 states.<\/p>\n
