Now, as free agency heats up, Indiana stands out as one of the most stable franchises heading into the offseason. With Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, and Makayla Timpson already under contract, the Fever have a strong foundation. Yet, they may look to re-sign key contributors like Kelsey Mitchell and Lexie Hull.

Watch What’s Trending Now!

While the team still needs to make decisions, Hull took the time to take a trip down memory lane. The Fever forward returned to her alma mater to share words of wisdom with the next generation of women’s basketball stars. “Just enjoy this,” the Stanford alumnus told the players. “Some of you are going to play professionally, but like you don’t get this time, best friends, and an environment like this where you are together so much. Enjoy practice, enjoy going to training, enjoy it all.”

Her heartfelt message didn’t go unnoticed by CC. Clark couldn’t help but show her appreciation, commenting a three-word message for Hull on Instagram: “Real inspiring Lexie.”

Article continues below this ad

It is clear from this offseason camaraderie that the sisterhood is strong in the Fever locker room. However, there is a high possibility that we will see a new roster for the 2026 season.

Apart from Clark, Boston, and Timpson, every other player on the roster has entered free agency. This also includes Lexie Hull, but her case is a bit different from the others. While other players are unrestricted free agents, she is a restricted free agent for Indiana. This means that while the 26-year-old can sign with any other team, Indiana has the right to match that offer and retain her.

Article continues below this ad

From the looks of it, both Indiana and Hull want to continue their journey together.

“I’m a restricted free agent, so I think that changes things a little bit,” she said in her exit interview. “I’ve loved my years here in Indiana. Obviously, with a lot of uncertainty, you don’t know what’s to come, but I’ve built a life here. I love this franchise. I love the people, the fans.”

Her sentiment is understandable. In her four years as a pro, Hull has been with Indiana, scoring with a career average of 5.5 points, along with 3.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists. This year was her best regular season so far, dropping 7.2 points, rebounding 4.3 times, and assisting 1.8 times per game. Her 2025 postseason stats were even better.

Read Top Stories First From EssentiallySports

Click here and check box next to EssentiallySports

In eight games, the Fever guard played with an average of 10.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists. With such a strong backcourt presence, it is no wonder Indiana wants Hull back on the roster to help CC next season.

Article continues below this ad

USA Today via Reuters

May 3, 2024; Dallas, Texas, USA; Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22) celebrates with Indiana Fever guard Lexie Hull (10) during the second quarter against the Dallas Wings at College Park Center. More often than not, she can be spotted going after the loose ball and locking down the opponents. And despite suffering from her fair share of injuries, she has been there on the court for her teammates. Now, even in this offseason, the 26-year-old wants to be there for her teammate, but in a different role.

Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham join hands to help Caitlin Clark

While the WNBA is dealing with its offseason uncertainty, the Indiana Fever star has decided to hit the greens. Clark is set to return to The Annika Pro-Am on November 12 at the Pelican Golf Club. The official Instagram accounts of the Indiana Fever and the LPGA Tour teamed up to announce this. While the post itself was all about Clark’s return to the greens, it soon became a mini Fever reunion in the comments.

Sophie Cunningham was the first to jump in, writing, “@caitlinclark22 need a couple of caddies? @lexiehulll.” Lexie Hull didn’t hesitate to join in on the fun, replying, “@sophie_cham sign us up!!!” showing that she’s all in to help her Fever teammate. The duo of Hull and Clark is no stranger to playing golf in their free time. In fact, the two Fever teammates have already created one of the most talked-about offseason moments from last year.

Back in October 2024, they faced off in a friendly par-3 contest that quickly went viral. Clark came within inches of sinking a hole-in-one, ultimately settling for a birdie on her next shot. Hull, meanwhile, missed her second stroke, giving her teammate the win. Caitlin Clark couldn’t help but celebrate, laughing playfully in her teammate’s face.

Clark will participate in the upcoming Annika Pro-Am tournament for the second consecutive time. She will join LPGA players Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam.

The Indiana Fever closed out the 2025 WNBA season as a formidable team, dominating the playoffs until the…

[73
99,434
0":"post-238005","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-wnba","8":"tag-sports","9":"tag-wnba
["GET
