Tiki Barber sounded like he had had enough as he was breaking down the Giants\u2019 disastrous 33-32 loss<\/a> to the Broncos on Sunday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Giants legend was apapletic over the Giants\u2019 play-calling decision that led rookie quarterback\u00a0Jaxson Dart to throw an interception with less than five minutes in the game and Big Blue holding onto a 26-16 lead over Denver.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Barber, discussing that drive on the postgame show on WFAN, argued that all the Giants needed to do during that drive was force the Broncos to use their timeouts and not make an error that would give Denver back the ball.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s third-and-4 or 5\u2026and Sean Payton has used two of those timeouts, on that third down, the only play that you call \u2013 and I don\u2019t know if this is Mike Kaka trying to be cute, I don\u2019t know if this is Brian Daboll trying to be aggressive, I don\u2019t know if this is Jaxson Dart trying to be a hero,\u201d Barber said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only thing you do on that play is run the ball so that you force the Denver Broncos to use a third timeout.\u201d<\/p>\n

Barber then argued that by forcing the Broncos to use their final timeout, they have to drive the field without any timeouts and the clock ticking away.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Giants had led by two possessions at that point in the game.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThis game was lost, and you heard me scream it, as soon as they decided to put the ball in a rookie\u2019s hand,\u201d Barber said. \u201cThis is why I always distrust rookies in moments because they make stupid rookie decisions like throwing the ball over the middle of the field in simulated blitz, when the linebacker is actually dropping into coverage, and you don\u2019t see him. And you think you have a big play, but you don\u2019t.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is on the play call. Period. The only thing you do is force the Denver Broncos to use three timeouts, keep the clock running and punt the ball away. It\u2019s an excusable play call and I don\u2019t understand it in any capacity.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Dart finished the game with 15 completions for 283 passing yards and three touchdowns and an interception.\u00a0He made up for it in a 1-yard touchdown run.<\/p>\n
