Weezer<\/a> welcomed Blondshell<\/a> to the stage at When We Were Young 2025<\/a> for \u2018I Just Threw Out The Love Of My Dreams\u2019 \u2013 watch below.<\/p>\n

The California band played the first night of the pop-punk festival yesterday (October 18) at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, on a bill that also included the likes of Panic! At The Disco<\/a>, Blink-182<\/a>,\u00a0Avril Lavigne<\/a>,\u00a0The Offspring<\/a> and\u00a0Knocked Loose<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During a hits-packed set, Rivers Cuomo<\/a> and co. brought out Blondshell for a version of their 1996 song \u2018I Just Threw Out The Love Of My Dreams\u2019, originally released as a B-side to the \u2018Pinkerton\u2019-era single \u2018The Good Life\u2019.<\/p>\n

A second night of When We Were Young goes down at the same site tonight (October 19)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Weezer have been on the road this year, playing a sundrenched show on Glastonbury\u2019s Other Stage in June<\/a>, and themselves being brought out as special guests during Olivia Rodrigo\u2019s headline set at Lollapalooza<\/a> in August.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, the band are working on a film about their lives<\/a> that has been described as a mix between Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. Cuomo had speculated that Jack Black would be in the cast, but the band later confirmed this would not be the case<\/a>. Keanu Reeves<\/a> is, however, believed to be involved.<\/p>\n

The wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, meanwhile, has avoided jail time over a shooting case involving LAPD officers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As for Blondshell, she released her second album \u2018If You Asked For A Picture\u2019 in May, which\u00a0NME\u00a0named as one of the best albums of 2025 so far<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A companion album, \u2018Another Picture<\/a>\u2019, comes out on November 14, featuring new songs and covers from Conor Oberst<\/a>,\u00a0Gigi Perez<\/a>, Samia<\/a> and Folk Bitch Trio<\/a>.
