ABC World News Tonight delivered a packed broadcast on Sunday evening with Mary Bruce filling in for David Muir’s typical weekend substitute Linsey Davis.

The program proceeded without incident until Mary paused to present a “breaking news” update regarding the No Kings protests that drew millions of participants nationwide, including high-profile celebrities such as Pedro Pascal.

Addressing viewers directly, Mary stated, “Now to the No Kings protests, millions of Americans from New York to Georgia to Texas and California and many other states and cities in between, taking to the streets to protest the Trump administration’s policies,” while noting, “It may be the largest one day protests in the US in more than 50 years.”

Mary wrapped up her portion of the coverage by transitioning to colleague Andrew Dymburt, who provided the most recent updates on the unfolding protest developments.

As footage rolled showing demonstrations across the country, Andrew reported, “Tonight, President Trump mocking the millions of Americans who took to the streets in peaceful protest on Saturday and what has been described as one of the largest single day demonstrations in US history.”, reports The Mirror.

Referring to the AI-generated video shared by Trump’s team, which depicted the president donning a crown, piloting a military jet over American cities, and dropping feces on “No Kings” protesters, the reporter stated, “An estimated seven million people gathered across some 2,700 no kings rallies in cities from coast to coast.”

A snippet of the breaking news segment was posted on the long-standing news program’s Instagram account, accompanied by the caption, “Activists and advocacy groups staged a second round of “No Kings” protests across the country in response to what they call abuse of power by Pres. Trump and his admin, including his immigration crackdown and the sending of troops into American cities. @dym_stagram reports.”

Viewers were quick to share their opinions on the unfolding news story and ABC’s coverage of it.

One user noted, “Weird how they left the part of the video off where Trump dumps sewage all over the protestors below.”

Another person expressed pride, saying, “So proud of our country yesterday…… So happy to see people waking up to what this man is really about…God speed to us all.

“Yes, let’s all unite against Trump and fascism! ! !” another user declared, followed by several clapping hand emojis.

A fourth added, “What an accomplishment and we still have no kings in this country. Good job everyone.”

ABC World News Tonight delivered a packed broadcast on Sunday evening with Mary Bruce filling in for David…

[2
1855,4,450,12,451,3,41738,452,453,48637
post-238640","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-breaking-news","tag-abc","tag-breaking-news","tag-breakingnews","tag-donald-trump","tag-headlines","tag-news","tag-politics-section","tag-top-stories","tag-topstories","tag-world-news-section
["GET
