\n\tAfter abruptly leaving<\/a> the Chicago stop of her and Monica<\/a>\u2018s The Boy Is Mine Tour<\/a>, Brandy Norwood<\/a> is explaining her exit and apologizing to fans.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe artist explained that she \u201cexperienced dehydration and feelings of wanting to faint\u201d before stepping off stage during Saturday\u2019s performance at United Center, noting that she left the venue to \u201csee a doctor nearby\u201d and get checked out.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cTo my dear fans in Chicago, Thank you all for the overwhelming love, support, and\u2014most importantly\u2014your prayers,\u201d she said in a statement. \u201cI sincerely apologize for the abrupt end to last night\u2019s performance in Chicago. After weeks of nonstop rehearsals, last night I experienced dehydration and feelings of wanting to faint, everyone involved agreed that prioritizing my well-being was of the utmost importance.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNorwood continued, \u201cI still made the decision to try and return and give it my all despite not feeling ok. With having to make some adjustments and the show being very technical. Unfortunately,\u00a0it was impossible to fully connect sonically with the production, I really appreciate everyone\u2019s best efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe I Know What You Did Last Summer actress added that she\u2019s \u201cdeeply grateful to my sister, Monica, for stepping up with such grace and professionalism and the entire crew for their continued care and support.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI went from the arena to see a doctor nearby and have taken the proper precautions to help moving forward. Your understanding, patience, and unwavering belief mean the world to me,\u201d said Norwood. \u201cI look forward to returning to the stage\u2014stronger and more grateful than ever\u2014alongside my girl, Monica, tonight in Indianapolis. With all my love, Brandy<\/a>\u201c<\/p>\n

\n\tFans of Norwood and Monica were left confused by the abrupt end to Saturday\u2019s concert, after Norwood abruptly walked off-stage<\/a> early in the performance, leaving Monica to finish the concert solo, without getting to the tour\u2019s eponymous 1998 duet.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cGive me one second y\u2019all I gotta get my\u2014\u201d said Norwood in a video, going backstage after apparently struggling with sound issues, never to return.<\/p>\n
