Sunny Hostin<\/a> is dubbing President Donald Trump<\/a> \u201cunpresidential\u201d after he reposted an AI video of himself wearing a crown and dumping what she claimed to be feces on crowds of protesters <\/a>following Saturday\u2019s nationwide No Kings rally.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the video, the Republican politician and former reality star can be seen flying a jet labeled \u201cKing Trump\u201d and dropping brown sludge onto protesters to the tune of Kenny Loggins<\/a>\u2019 song \u201cDanger Zone\u201d from the 1986 film Top Gun<\/a>. Hostin and her fellow View<\/a> cohosts reacted to the video during Monday\u2019s episode.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I was really struck by is how unpresidential he is,\u201d Hostin said. When her cohost Ana Navarro<\/a> interjected to express her amazement that Hostin had just come to that conclusion, she quickly amended, \u201cIt\u2019s not striking me now, but it was just striking to me that he is using profanity when he is speaking to the press corps and [posting] an AI video of feces on United States citizens.\u201d<\/p>\n

Whoopi Goldberg<\/a> added, \u201cComing from a president!\u201d\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

Hostin proceeded to ask her cohosts and the View\u2019s audience if they recalled when former President Barack Obama<\/a> received heavy backlash for wearing a tan suit while addressing reporters in 2014. She then cut to a clip from The Daily Show<\/a>, which featured pundits and Republican Congress members condemning Obama\u2019s fashion choice.<\/p>\n

\u201cTangate! Tan suit!\u201d Hostin exclaimed after the video ended. \u201cI want to go back to those days when people were so concerned about how unpresidential it was that Obama wore a tan suit.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

A laughing Alyssa Farah Griffin<\/a> remembered the moment well. \u201cI was on Capitol Hill and, Republicans, we were very angry about the tan suit,\u201d she confessed.<\/p>\n

Goldberg, however, did not remember the controversy. \u201cYou\u2019ve forgotten it because we\u2019ve [been] desensitized, but there was a scandal during the Obama years,\u201d Navarro explained to her confused cohost. Sara Haines<\/a> elaborated, \u201cHe should\u2019ve worn a darker suit is what they\u2019re saying.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

Turning toward the audience, Goldberg simply asked, \u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n

Hostin clarified for Goldberg that Obama\u2019s tan suit wasn\u2019t deemed \u201cpresidential enough\u201d at the time. \u201cSo now we have a president throwing feces on the American public and the Republicans are like, \u2018There\u2019s nothing to see here,\u2019\u201d she added.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

When asked for comment, the White House sent Entertainment Weekly a so-called \u201ccrying liberal\u201d meme, which depicts a woman named in a public space looking up with her mouth wide open.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

Saturday’s No Kings protests against Trump’s administration were attended by almost seven million people at more than 2,700 events across all 50 states, according to organizers<\/a>. Police described the demonstrations as mostly peaceful and noted that there were many large cities that reported zero arrests or incidents related to the protests, per CNN<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Earlier in the segment, Navarro explained that she marched peacefully in New York City on Saturday.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cIt feels really good to be in community,\u201d she said of the event. \u201cBecause I think there are so many people that are afraid and it\u2019s a lot easier to speak out when you\u2019re not the only voice speaking out. So to feel the strength of numbers, the strength of Americans of all ages, all colors, all creeds who just want one thing: to defend and stand up for democracy.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The View wasn\u2019t the only one calling out Trump and the video. In a lengthy statement published on his website<\/a>, Loggins called out the Trump administration for using his song in the clip.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is an unauthorized use of my performance of \u2018Danger Zone,\u2019\u201d the singer-songwriter said in part. \u201cNobody asked me for my permission, which I would have denied, and I request that my recording on this video is removed immediately.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
