Following the rebrand<\/a> this year, the Find Hub app has reached over 1 billion downloads on Google Play.<\/p>\n

The Android app just crossed the 1,000,000,000+ downloads milestone, with com.google.android.apps.adm<\/a> first released on December 11, 2013. The app debuted as \u201cAndroid Device Manager\u201d before becoming \u201cFind My Device\u201d in 2017. In July of 2024<\/a>, it hit 500 million downloads.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Since then, Google introduced location sharing functionality that\u2019s powered by Maps. It\u2019s available in a new \u201cPeople\u201d tab. The Find Hub rebrand was announced ahead of I\/O 2025 this May. For Android 16, the app got Material 3 Expressive tweaks<\/a> in August, with google.com\/android\/find\/<\/a> also fully up-to-date.<\/p>\n

On the device front, we\u2019ve gotten more<\/a> trackers<\/a> and devices<\/a>, as well as UWB support<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Looking ahead, Google teased<\/a> satellite connectivity to help \u201cyou stay connected with friends and family even when you don\u2019t have cellular connectivity.\u201d There\u2019s also airline integration in early 2026 to find lost luggage.\u00a0<\/p>\n
