True love is blind, and it rolls with the punches. <\/p>\n

\u201cLove Is Blind\u201d alums Johnny McIntyre and Amy Tiffany tied the knot during season 6 of the Netflix reality show, which aired in 2024. It takes a strong connection to make it through the tumultuous experience of \u201cLove Is Blind,\u201d where couples get married without seeing each other and say \u201cI Do\u201d only weeks later. <\/p>\n

After being surrounded by cameras in the early stages of their relationship, Johnny and Amy have continued to thrive in the real world. They recently had an opportunity to celebrate other couples who\u2019ve overcome unusual circumstances together.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Oct. 8, Johnny and Amy officiated a vow renewal ceremony for married couples whose wedding plans were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The heartwarming event, which took place at the iconic Empire State Building in Manhattan, was hosted by Citizen<\/a> and Zales<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As Johnny and Amy shared touching words about the power of love, the selected couples, who traveled from all over the country to attend, stood facing each other. Their smiles radiated peace and acceptance, with no visible trace of the disappointments they experienced on their path to wedded bliss.<\/p>\n

One of the pairs, Karsten and Erica M. of Texas, cheerfully told NJ.com that their wedding was supposed to have 200 guests before the pandemic thwarted their plans. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt was, like, 15 people. [Just] our close family,\u201d Erica said of their scaled-down nuptials. \u201cWe had our first dance in a parking lot, and we just ate at a Mexican restaurant with our family to celebrate.\u201d<\/p>\n

Erica and Karsten are now expecting their first baby together, and they\u2019re eyeing a 10-year anniversary party to make up for the big wedding they didn\u2019t get to have. <\/p>\n

\u201cAll that matters at the end of the day is we love each other,\u201d Erica said. \u201cSo even though of course every girl has her dream of a big wedding and all the things, I was content, because at the end of the day, we\u2019re where we are. We\u2019ve come a long way, we\u2019ve been through a lot of things to get here.\u201d <\/p>\n

Johnny and Amy were moved by the couples\u2019 positive attitudes. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe met so many couples who shared their unique love stories – couples that truly embody the power of love and commitment and how it can overcome any obstacle,\u201d Amy wrote via Instagram <\/a>alongside several photos from the event. \u201dNot going to lie, it made us emotional seeing so much love in the air and we were so grateful to be a part of this moment in time with all the beautiful couples.\u201c<\/p>\n
