Joe Jonas <\/a>is sharing his thoughts on Taylor Swift’<\/a>s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl.\n<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve heard some of it,\u201d Jonas, 36, told Esquire<\/a>. \u201cI think she\u2019s obviously the biggest artist out there.”\n<\/p>\n Jonas had praise for Swift’s 12th studio album, adding, “I think it\u2019s good. Everybody\u2019s got an opinion about it, but from what I\u2019ve heard, there are some catchy melodies.\u201d\n<\/p>\n The Life of a Showgirl dropped on Oct. 3, and saw her reunited with reputation hitmakers Max Martin and Shellback as producers.<\/p>\n Jonas famously dated Swift, 35, in the 2000s. After their 2008 breakup, fans of the 14-time Grammy winner speculated that a number of her Fearless and Speak Now era hits reference Jonas, from “Forever and Always” and “Mr. Perfectly Fine” to “Better Than Revenge.”\n<\/p>\n Following the breakup, Swift famously said on The Ellen Show<\/a>, “It’s all right, I’m cool you know what? It’s like, when I find that person that is is right for me and he’ll be wonderful and when I look at that person I’m not even going to be able to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18.”\n<\/p>\n Joe Jonas for the cover of Esquire in October 2025.<\/p>\n Billy Kidd<\/p>\n In the years since, Swift notably befriended Jonas’ ex-wife Sophie Turner.<\/a> In 2020, fans speculated that a line from Swift’s folklore track “invisible string” referenced Jonas \u2014 only this time, about their friendship. “Cold was the steel of my axe to grind, for the boys who broke my heart. Now I send their babies presents,” Swift sings in the song.\n<\/p>\n Jonas and Turner, 29, divorced in September 2024. Jonas filed for a dissolution of marriage from Turner<\/a>\u00a0on Sept. 5, 2023. According to documents obtained by PEOPLE, the filing claimed “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.” A judge\u00a0granted the divorce<\/a>\u00a0one year later.
