\u201cI\u2019m just heartbroken for her right now,\u201d Stamos said on the Good Guys podcast<\/a> Monday. Stamos blamed Giannulli for the college admissions scandal that landed the couple in prison. \u201cI know for a fact it was all him,\u201d he said, and \u201cshe goes to f—ing prison for this a—–e.\u201d <\/p>\n The Daily Beast has reached out to Giannulli for comment.<\/p>\n Loughlin and Giannulli were indicted in 2019 for their participation in a college admissions bribery scheme\u2014which became known as Operation Varsity Blues\u2014to get their daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose into the University of Southern California. In addition to prison time, Loughlin was also fined and ordered to complete 100 hours of community service<\/a> for the couples\u2019 efforts to secure a college spot for their daughter. She was on parole until December 2022. Giannulli also served five months in prison and was also fined and sentenced to probation. <\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s a terrible narcissist,\u201d he continued, and Loughlin \u201cput up with a lot over the years.\u201d Stamos claimed that when he called Loughlin to check in as the scandal came to light, Loughlin told him, \u201cMossimo handles all that stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n Stamos and Loughlin played Rebecca Donaldson and Jesse Katsopolis on Full House from 1987 to 1995. \u201cYou can see through people after a few years. This woman\u2019s a saint,\u201d Stamos continued Monday. \u201cShe didn\u2019t deserve to be dragged through that\u2026 And I just hate to see her go through this.\u201d <\/p>\n Stamos has always had only the most glowing things to say about Loughlin, even going so far in 2013 as to say he and Loughlin may have dated if things had played out differently. He told HuffPost Live<\/a> that year, \u201cNo disrespect to her family and her husband now, I would say she could be the one that got away.\u201d Loughlin made similar comments <\/a>to HuffPost Live that year. \u201cWe have chemistry. I was actually married at the time that I was doing [Full House], and then I got divorced. And then when I got divorced, he met Rebecca [Romijn] and he got married, so our timing was just really off.\u201d <\/p>\n She added, \u201cSo, I don\u2019t think it ever really entered our minds that it would be something more.\u201d The pair remained friends, however, and Stamos said he called her after her prison release. \u201cIn typical Lori fashion\u2014I said, \u2018How was it?\u2019 She goes, \u2018You know, I met a lot of nice ladies in there. We have a book club.
