\n\tUniversal released the trailer for Reminders of Him<\/a>, based on the best-selling book by Colleen Hoover<\/a>, today. The film hits theaters March 13, 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film will be the third to adapt one of Hoover\u2019s many novels following 2024\u2019s It Ends With Us and Friday\u2019s Regretting You.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe clip shows Kenna (Maika Monroe<\/a>) meeting Scotty (Rudy Pankow) where she works as they kindle a relationship over his purchases of single plastic yellow plates set to Lord Huron\u2019s \u201cThe Night We Met.\u201d But after the loveliest of outings with him, Kenna makes an unbearable mistake that sends her to prison for seven years.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere was before you and there was during you,\u201d Monroe\u2019s voice plays over the montage of the outing, which is followed by a car crash that leaves Scotty dead. \u201cFor some reason, I never thought there would be an after you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing Kenna\u2019s release, she returns to her Wyoming hometown hoping to start over and meet her daughter Diem, whom she doesn\u2019t know well. Diem\u2019s custodial grandparents, Grace and Patrick (Lauren Graham<\/a> and Bradley Whitford), adamantly refuse Kenna\u2019s attempts to see her daughter, but she discovers unexpected compassion, and then something truer and deeper, with former NFL player and local bar owner Ledger (Tyriq Withers<\/a>). <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHow dare she just show up?\u201d Graham\u2019s Grace asks Ledger after Kenna shows up in his neighborhood because Scotty\u2019s parents live nearby. <\/p>\n

\n\tLedger didn\u2019t realize who Kenna was when he met her at his bar \u2014 which used to be a bookstore \u2014 and he tells her Scotty was his best friend. \u201cIf it wasn\u2019t for her, our son would still be alive,\u201d Whitford\u2019s Patrick says.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs their secret romance develops set to Alex Warren\u2019s \u201cOrdinary,\u201d so do the dangers for both Kenna and Ledger. Kenna risks heartbreak and, ultimately, the hope for a second chance.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe\u2019ve all been wrong about her,\u201d Ledger tells Grace and Patrick. \u201cYou\u2019ve taken the worst moment of her life and made it into who she is.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGrammy winner and country musician Lainey Wilson (Yellowstone) will play Kenna\u2019s friend and coworker<\/a>, Amy. They can be seen having an exchange about trauma in which Kenna tells Wilson\u2019s Amy that she can\u2019t get a job because she just got out of prison.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe supporting cast includes Jennifer Robertson (Schitt\u2019s Creek) as Kenna\u2019s landlord; Zoe Kosovic (The Smashing Machine) as Kenna\u2019s daughter Diem; Hilary Jardine (Holidazed) and Nicholas Duvernay (The White Lotus) as Ledger\u2019s bar team; and, in her screen debut, Monika Myers as Kenna\u2019s neighbor, Lady Diana.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tLeading an all-female filmmaking team, Vanessa Caswill (Love at First Sight,\u00a0Little Women\u00a0mini-series) directs\u00a0Reminders of Him\u00a0from a screenplay by Colleen Hoover and Lauren Levine, based on Hoover\u2019s novel. The film is produced by Colleen Hoover (exec producer\u00a0It Ends with Us,\u00a0Regretting You), Lauren Levine (Bridge to Terabithia, exec producer,\u00a0Confess\u00a0series) and Gina Matthews (Isn\u2019t it Romantic,\u00a013 Going on 30).
