\n Suzanne Somers may have died two years ago, but her husband of 55 years says he has a unique plan to keep her memory alive.\n <\/p>\n
\n Alan Hamel told People magazine<\/a> that he\u2019s been working on an artificial intelligence clone of his late wife. Somers died in 2023<\/a> at the age of 76 after having survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for 23 years.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cObviously, Suzanne was greatly loved, not only by her family, but by millions of people,\u201d Hamel told the publication. \u201cOne of the projects that we have coming up is a really interesting project, the Suzanne AI Twin.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n He said he and Somers had conversations about it back in the 1980s, once they learned about the concept from computer scientist and writer Ray Kurzweil.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cWe have been friends with Ray Kurzweil. Bill Gates described Ray Kurzweil as the smartest man on the planet, which he is,\u201d Hamel said. \u201cAnd he became our friend 30-some years ago and we talked about this. We knew it was coming. It took decades to happen, but he knew it was going to happen, and he shared that information with us.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n Hamel added: \u201cSo it was Suzanne\u2019s idea.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cAnd she said, \u2018I think we should do that.\u2019 She said, \u2018I think it\u2019ll be very interesting and we\u2019ll provide a service to my fans and to people who have been reading my books who really want and need information about their health,\u2019\u201d he said. \u201cShe said, \u2018Let\u2019s do it.\u2019 So that\u2019s the reason we did it. And so I love being able to fulfill her wish.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n The AI clone, which he reportedly he shared a demonstration of earlier this year at a conference, was trained using \u201call of Suzanne\u2019s 27 books and a lot of interviews that she has done, hundreds of interviews, so that she\u2019s really ready to be able to be asked any question at all and be able to answer it, because the answer will be within her.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cIt was Suzanne,\u201d Hamel said. \u201cAnd I asked her a few questions and she answered them, and it blew me and everybody else away. When you look at the finished one next to the real Suzanne, you can\u2019t tell the difference.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n One of his main concerns was that their family wouldn\u2019t like the idea, but Hamel now says they are fully on board.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cWe\u2019ve talked about it a lot.
