{"id":244125,"date":"2025-10-22T18:12:09","date_gmt":"2025-10-22T18:12:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/244125\/"},"modified":"2025-10-22T18:12:09","modified_gmt":"2025-10-22T18:12:09","slug":"apple-wallet-got-a-highly-requested-new-setting-in-ios-26","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/244125\/","title":{"rendered":"Apple Wallet got a highly requested new setting in iOS 26"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t<img width=\"1600\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/apple-wallet-app-ios-26.jpg\" class=\"skip-lazy wp-post-image\" alt=\"\"  decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Apple\u2019s Wallet app got a <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2025\/09\/19\/heres-everything-new-for-apple-wallet-in-ios-26\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">strong lineup of new features<\/a> in iOS 26, including one hidden addition you might have missed: a highly requested new setting to disable promotional notifications.<\/p>\n<p>Apple\u2019s Wallet app is the iPhone\u2019s home for credit cards, car keys, airline boarding passes, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Typically when you get a notification from Wallet, it provides important financial records, flight changes, or something else similarly important.<\/p>\n<p>But earlier this year, as part of its F1 The Movie marketing blitz, Apple <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2025\/06\/24\/apple-pushed-wallet-notifications-with-f1-offer-sparking-backlash\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">sent out a Wallet notification<\/a> with a movie ticket offer.<\/p>\n<p>The movie became a hit, but this marketing tactic was not so well received by users.<\/p>\n<p>Upon receiving the F1 notification, many users dug into Wallet\u2019s settings to find a way to disable any such future promotional alerts.<\/p>\n<p>Except at the time, iOS 18 offered no such option.<\/p>\n<p>In iOS 26, however, the highly requested setting has arrived.<\/p>\n<p>Open the Wallet app in iOS 26, then tap the three-dot icon in the top-right and find the \u2018Notifications\u2019 menu option.<\/p>\n<p>From here, you\u2019ll see toggles for the following types of notifications:<\/p>\n<p>Transactions<\/p>\n<p>Savings<\/p>\n<p>Orders<\/p>\n<p>Preauthorized Payments<\/p>\n<p>New Features &amp; Updates<\/p>\n<p>Offers &amp; Promotions<\/p>\n<p>That last setting, Offers &amp; Promotions, is new to iOS 26 and should stop any future unwanted notifications involving the inevitable F1 movie sequel.<\/p>\n<p>Do you plan to turn off Wallet notifications for Offers &amp; Promotions, or would you prefer to get them?
