(WOWT) &#8211; Omaha\u2019s Henry Doorly Zoo has some exciting news: one of its orangutans is expecting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/OmahaZoo\/posts\/pfbid0EFHp8hkFPCci1QxipknsSmxvFQTuHKtJEfs7UAMJxAWYGk6oLkP8nzY8cBhtYAZEl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/OmahaZoo\/posts\/pfbid0EFHp8hkFPCci1QxipknsSmxvFQTuHKtJEfs7UAMJxAWYGk6oLkP8nzY8cBhtYAZEl\">social media post<\/a> Wednesday morning, Henry Doorly shared that a 26-year-old Bornean orangutan named Ruby is marking the first orangutan pregnancy at the zoo in over a decade. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Ruby is in her second trimester and will have her baby in February. The pregnancy is a \u201csignificant conservation milestone\u201d for the species, which is critically endangered, the zoo says.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">She currently lives with the infant\u2019s father, 23-year-old Denda, in the Hubbard Orangutan Forest. Closer to her due date, she will move to a private space that provides around-the-clock care and monitoring.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to a release, Ruby has been at the zoo since 2007.
