Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs is not having the easiest time behind bars<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Charlucci Finney, a longtime friend of the disgraced rapper, told the Daily Mail<\/a> in an interview published Wednesday, October 22, that Combs allegedly \u201cwoke up with a knife to his throat.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, the 55-year-old rap mogul was sentenced to 50 months<\/a> \u2014 or more than four years \u2014 in prison after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He is currently serving time at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York.<\/p>\n

Finney, who has worked in the music industry for decades and has described their relationship as close, alleged to the outlet that the man who confronted Combs was armed with a shiv (a knife or razor used as a weapon).<\/p>\n

Though Finney was unsure if Combs \u201cfought\u201d off the man holding the weapon or if \u201cthe guards came,\u201d he insisted: \u201cI just know that it happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cIf this guy had wanted to harm him, Sean would have been harmed. It would only take a second to cut his throat with a weapon and kill him. It was probably a way to say: \u2018Next time you ain\u2019t gonna be so lucky.\u2019 Everything is intimidation. But with Sean it won\u2019t work. Sean is from Harlem.\u201d<\/p>\n

Finney said that inmates at places like the Metropolitan Detention Center don\u2019t take kindly to those who have been accused of sexual-related crimes.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe prisoners take it personal,\u201d he explained. \u201cThey look at it like, it could have been my mom, my auntie, my daughter. They try to get what they call prison justice. And you have to understand, we are not talking about a regular person. We\u2019re talking about Diddy.\u201d<\/p>\n

During his trial, Combs \u2014 who pleaded not guilty to the sex-related felonies \u2014 was found not guilty of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, but guilty on two counts of transportation for the purposes of prostitution. NBC News<\/a> reported that Combs\u2019 legal team hopes to have him serve the remainder of his time at a low-security facility in New Jersey.<\/p>\n

Shortly after his sentencing, a source exclusively told the National Enquirer that Combs was in \u201ctotal shock,\u201d<\/a> adding: \u201cHe really believed he\u2019d get out with time served, his lawyers promised.\u201d<\/p>\n

Combs was so confident that \u201che\u2019d be a free man again,\u201d he booked a speaking gig<\/a> for the week after his sentencing hearing.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow all his plans are in limbo,\u201d said the source, adding that his rumored \u201ccomeback tour\u201d and all the other \u201cdeals he had in place are on hold.\u201d<\/p>\n
