Tennessee Football<\/a> on Wednesday night issued its first SEC Injury Report<\/a> for this weekend\u2019s game at Kentucky. The Vols will update the injury report against on Thursday, Friday and then 90 minutes before kickoff Saturday.<\/p>\n

Linebackers Arion Carter<\/a> and Ben Bolton<\/a> were both listed as questionable while wide receiver Radarious Jackson<\/a>, who has missed the last four games, was also listed as questionable.<\/p>\n

Cornerback\u00a0Jermod McCoy<\/a>\u00a0has yet to make his debut this season and has been out since tearing his ACL in January.\u00a0Rickey Gibson III<\/a>\u00a0has been out since getting hurt in Week 1 against Syracuse and\u00a0Travis Smith<\/a>\u00a0was out last two weeks after being added to the injury report late in the week before the Arkansas game. <\/p>\n

No. 17 Tennessee (5-2, 2-2 SEC) and Kentucky (2-4, 0-4) are scheduled for a 7:45 p.m. Eastern Time kickoff (TV: SEC Network<\/a>) at Kroger Field in Lexington. The Vols are coming off a 37-20 loss at Alabama while the Wildcats have lost three straight.<\/p>\n

Tennessee<\/a>\u00a0coach\u00a0Josh Heupel<\/a>\u00a0said Monday that quarterback\u00a0Joey Aguilar<\/a>\u00a0will be ready to go when the Vols face Kentucky. Aguilar appeared to suffer a neck injury in the loss at Alabama.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously a couple hits that Joey took,\u201d Heupel said during his weekly press conference on Monday. \u201cBut he\u2019ll be ready to go for Saturday.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aguilar ran left on second-and-4 at the Alabama 4-yard line early in the second quarter. He was tackled by Alabama\u2019s\u00a0James Smith<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Justin Jefferson<\/a>, with both defenders making contact with his helmet and forcing his neck back awkwardly.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He didn\u2019t miss any time during the game, but received medical attention on the back of his neck, including time spent in the injury tent with his shoulder pads removed while trainers worked on his neck and back.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Aguilar finished the game 28 of 44 passing for 268 yards, with a touchdown and interception. After being sacked only three times over the first six games of the season, he was sacked four times at Alabama for a combined loss of 20 yards.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What Josh Heupel said this week about Jermod McCoy<\/p>\n

Heupel updated the uncertain timeline for\u00a0Jermod McCoy<\/a>\u00a0before the Arkansas game, with Tennessee\u2019s star cornerback nine months removed from his ACL tear.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cJermod continues to do a great job in his rehab with our medical staff, our strength staff,\u201d Heupel said on October 7. \u201cSomebody told me there was a report out there of a certain ball game that he\u2019s focused in on as far as returning.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that\u2019s unfair. Whoever put that out there, I don\u2019t think truly understands Jermod and the situation.
