Today Apple rolled out digital ID support for yet another new US state.<\/p>\n
West Virginia is the latest addition, joining the 12 other state and territory<\/a> ID options in Apple Wallet.<\/p>\n You can add your West Virginia driver\u2019s license or state ID into the Wallet app with a few simple steps.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s how to add it:<\/p>\n Open Wallet on your iPhone<\/p>\n Tap the + button in the top-right<\/p>\n Open the \u2018Driver\u2019s License and ID Cards\u2019 menu<\/p>\n Select West Virginia<\/p>\n Scan your ID to validate<\/p>\n Digital IDs are supported both on iPhone and Apple Watch, and you\u2019ll be able to choose during the validation step whether you want to add the ID to one or both devices.<\/p>\n Support for West Virginia IDs has been expected since earlier this year, when Google announced<\/a> it would be one of the next few states to support its own digital ID feature.<\/p>\n When using a digital ID, be sure to check with local guidance to see where it\u2019s accepted in lieu of your physical ID.
