\n\tHBO<\/a>\u2018s Task<\/a> ended on a high note with 4 million cross-platform U.S. viewers within three days.<\/p>\n

\n\tThat\u2019s up nearly 30% from the premiere<\/a>\u2018s three-day performance. The first episode has now tallied 11.2M U.S. viewers, and the series is now one of HBO\u2019s three fastest-growing freshman seasons ever, per Warner Bros. Discovery.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile WBD didn\u2019t provide global viewership figures, the company did say Task was the top title globally on HBO Max last week.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe series, created by Mare of Easttown\u2018s Brad Ingelsby<\/a>, follows an FBI agent (Mark Ruffalo) as he heads a task force to put an end to a string of violent robberies led by an unsuspecting family man (Tom Pelphrey) in the suburbs of Philadelphia. \n\tHBO recently also launched Tim Robinson\u2019s comedy The Chair Company. The premiere has now delivered 2.7M viewers and, after two episodes, the series is averaging about 2.1M. The second episode brought in 1.5M viewers after three days, up just slightly from the premiere\u2019s 1.4M in that time frame.<\/p>\n

\n\tWBD also notes that the season average is still about double that of other recent comedies like Somebody Somewhere and The Rehearsal.<\/p>\n
