Texas A&M<\/a> and Alabama<\/a> are the top two teams to this point in the SEC, as the last two undefeateds in conference play and being No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, as of this week in the AP Poll. That has led to the debate the past few days of who\u2019s better between the Aggies and the Crimson Tide.<\/p>\n

Jordan Rodgers<\/a> weighed in on A&M and \u2018Bama while on \u2018Get Up\u2019<\/a> on Friday. Asked if the Aggies are the best team in the Southeastern Conference, Rodgers says he leans ever so slightly instead to the Tide.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh boy,\u201d Rodgers began. \u201cI still have Alabama ahead of A&M, only slightly because I think Ty Simpson<\/a> is the best quarterback in the country<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

That\u2019s fair enough, with Simpson playing<\/a> like a finalist for the Heisman Trophy<\/a> for Alabama, and with the Tide now sitting at 6-1 (4-0) overall with a five-game win streak. They also have four consecutive wins to open league play against opponents in the Top 20 in Georgia<\/a>, Vanderbilt<\/a>, Missouri<\/a>, and Tennessee<\/a>. But, A&M is the one that\u2019s still undefeated overall, sitting at 7-0 (4-0) with a five-game run of victories over Notre Dame<\/a>, as well as in conference against Auburn<\/a>, Mississippi State<\/a>, Florida<\/a>, and Arkansas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

More so, Rodgers just sees a complete team down in College Station. Led by a dual-threat himself in Marcel Reed<\/a>, the offense is balanced, with 267.3 passing yards and 196.7 rushing yards per game, for the Aggies. A&M also has one of the better defensive units in the country, namely when you look at third-down, along with pass rush, pressure, and tackles for loss.<\/p>\n

\u201cTexas A&M has zero weaknesses,\u201d Rodgers said. \u201cThey have a dynamic athlete at quarterback that\u2019s developing as a pocket-passer. He can still tuck it and hurt you for 70 any time you want. They have an elite offensive line, really good run game with Rueben Owens stepping in for the injured Le\u2019Veon Moss. And, on defense? C\u2019mon now. They\u2019re second in the country on third down. They have an elite pass-rusher in Cashius Howell<\/a>. They have zero weaknesses.\u201d<\/p>\n

Quarterback play between Simpson and Reed was enough for Rodgers to just barely take Alabama between the two.
