In an Instagram video posted on October 24, the fitness coach shares key truths about weight loss &#8211; what you need to understand and accept &#8211; that can be used as practical tools to achieve results.<\/p>\n<p>   Being okay with a little hunger<\/p>\n<p>According to Raj, in order to lose weight, you need to create a <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/lifestyle\/health\/fitness-coach-warns-tea-coffee-and-alcohol-can-add-600-calories-day-shares-5-mistakes-that-make-you-gain-weight-diwali-101760873763749.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"calorie\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">calorie <\/a>deficit, which means being comfortable feeling a little hungry each day. He explains, \u201cTo create a calorie deficit, you need to eat lesser than you need. And that means there will be some hunger for a few hours every day. Every time this happens, if you panic and end up eating food, you break the calorie deficit. Instead, if you can be okay with it, if you can sit with the discomfort, you will create the calorie deficit which will compound over time, resulting in sustainable long-term weight loss.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> Being okay with eating the same foods<\/p>\n<p>The fitness coach admits that variety can make eating fun and exciting, but experimenting too much with food increases the chance of mistakes, making weight loss more complicated. If you can do the same thing, the chances of you making mistakes goes down and the chances of you creating a calorie deficit and losing weight in the long term goes up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> Being okay with putting effort consistently<\/p>\n<p>Raj stresses that you have to be consistent, even when you don\u2019t get to see immediate results. He explains, \u201cLinear progress is not going to be linear.
