Ole Miss freshman football player Corey Adams was killed in a shooting Saturday night in Tennessee.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Shelby County Sheriff\u2019s Office announced Sunday that Adams had died in the incident, which took place in the Memphis suburb of Cordova.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Law enforcement found Adams with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle at an intersection.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThey provided life-saving measures until Shelby County Fire arrived,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s office said. \u201cShelby County Fire personnel later pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.\u201d<\/p>\n

The authorities said four other men suffered gunshot wounds and arrived at local hospitals. <\/p>\n

Adams, a defensive lineman, enrolled at Ole Miss in the winter and was slated to make his college football debut in the fall.\u00a0<\/p>\n
