Levi McConaughey is alright, alright, alright with this bond. <\/p>\n
The actor, 17, explained what it was like to portray characters with a strained relationship opposite his real life dad, Matthew McConaughey, in the \u201cLost Bus.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cJust the confidence of our relationship outside the movie, because in the movie, it\u2019s not a good relationship,\u201d\u00a0Levi told People<\/a> on October 18. \u201cBut to be able to do it and then come out of the scene, and give each other a hug and go, \u2018Thank you. Thank God that that\u2019s not how our relationship is in real life.\u2019 It just made it easier and fun.\u201d <\/p>\n Levi McConaughey attending the screening of the movie \u201cThe Lost Bus.\u201d Reynaud Julien\/APS-Medias\/ABACA\/Shutterstock<\/p>\n Along with the teen, Matthew, 55, and wife Camila Alves, 42, also share kids Vida, 15, and Livingston, 12.<\/p>\n Levi also took a moment to gush over his tight-knit family, crediting his glowing appearance to \u201cspending some great time with them, and time with\u00a0myself.\u201d<\/p>\n The father-son duo starred in the \u201cLost Bus\u201d together earlier this month. The blaze still remains one of the deadliest in California\u2019s history.\u00a0Jamie Lee Curtis serves as a producer, while the rest of the star-studded lineup included America Ferrera, Yul Vazquez, Ashlie Atkinson and Spencer Watson.<\/p>\n Matthew previously opened up about the tips he gave his first born ahead of career in Hollywood.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve tried to give him some tips that I\u2019ve learned along the way, tried to give him some of those tips earlier than I understood them,\u201d the actor told People<\/a> in September. \u201cI really got into the public eye when I was about 23 or 24 with\u00a0\u2018A Time to Kill.\u2019 It was a lot: boom! All of a sudden, the world was a mirror. And [acting] will be a part of that if he continues to do it, part of finding his identity. But it can\u2019t be his full identity.\u201d<\/p>\n Levi did admit that he does feel the heat of being Matthew\u2019s son.<\/p>\n \u201cYeah, it\u2019s just starting,\u201d he told the outlet. \u201cAnd as much as people can say, \u2018Oh, you got this because of your father or your mother,\u2019 they can open the door, but then it\u2019s going to be up to me to do my thing once I get in there.
