Class of 2027 guard Dooney Johnson announced an Indiana offer on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Johnson is connected to IU assistant coach Rod Clark, who he thanked on social media when announcing the offer.<\/p>\n
Around 6-foot-5, Johnson hails from Milwaukee, Wisc. where he attends Juneau H.S.\u00a0 As a sophomore there he averaged 25.1 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game while shooting 45.9% overall including 33.3% from long range.<\/p>\n
According to the average of the national rankings, Johnson is a 4-star, the No. 39 overall player in the 2027 class, and the No. 11 point guard.<\/p>\n
Johnson\u2019s father, Torre Johnson, played Division I college basketball for Oklahoma State and Wisconsin-Milwaukee.<\/p>\n
For travel basketball, Johnson plays for Team Herro on the Nike EYBL Circuit.\u00a0 This spring and summer he averaged 15 points while shooting 33.7% from three.<\/p>\n
Johnson\u2019s growing offer list includes Marquette, Wisconsin, Cincinnati, Oklahoma State, Missouri, SMU, Syracuse, LSU, Washington, and Nebraska.<\/p>\n
