While breaking your show in half is more forgivable when it\u2019s 18 episodes instead of 8, it\u2019s still not ideal, and that\u2019s what we\u2019re about to see with High Potential<\/a> season 2. Part 1 of season 2 will end on Tuesday, October 28, and at this point, we do not even have a release date for Part 2 of season 2 yet.<\/p>\n It\u2019s a little surprising that the release date has not been announced yet, just days before the High Potential half-season ends, but we can at least look backward to get an estimate of when it might arrive, and it\u2019s not going to be a Netflix \u201cjust take one month off\u201d situation. <\/p>\n Forbes\u2018High Potential\u2019 Season 2 Just Broke A 26-Year TV RecordBy Paul Tassi<\/a><\/p>\n In season 1 of High Potential, which had 13 episodes, the seventh aired on November 12, 2024 before around a two-month break when the show returned for its final 6 on January 7, 2025.<\/p>\n So, if that holds, the show ending Tuesday could make a New Year\u2019s-ish release for Part 2, a break for the entire run of the holidays, which would be at least two months. That\u2019s a bummer, but it\u2019s also possible that it\u2019s longer than that. Why? Because Season 2 Part 1 is seven episodes, meaning there are going to be 11 in Part 2. That\u2019s nearly double the amount of Part 2 of season 1, meaning it could take a lot longer to finish those up compared to what happened last time. So, February, maybe? <\/p>\n Regardless, people will be tuning in. High Potential viewership has dramatically increased compared to season 1, and it just set a record as the only night-winning 10 PM drama in 26 years since ER had that title. It will go out on top before a bunch of CBS content starts up, which will draw traditionally huge numbers.<\/p>\n ABC clearly has a hit on its hands, not just with broadcast, but also on streaming, as High Potential is #1 on both the Disney Plus and Hulu Top 10 TV charts, which is pretty wild to see. It\u2019s an explosion of exposure for Kaitlin Olson to anyone who hasn\u2019t watched It\u2019s Always Sunny in Philadelphia for 15 years, and you can see why she\u2019s one of the funniest women in Hollywood.<\/p>\n Hopefully, we will hear when High Potential is coming back for Part 2 of season 2 soon, but it will not be this year, and it may not even be January, given the expanded scope of this season.
