Mark Hunter, vocalist of Ohioan groove metal band Chimaira, has revealed the group\u2019s plans to open the vaults on their latter years with an upcoming compilation titled \u201cCreepers Vol 1\u201c. That collection will compile b-sides and rarities from the 2011 to 2014 era that originally closed out the Chimaira\u2018s career.<\/p>\n
The material that came about during that run followed a period of upheaval, with the bulk of the group\u2019s classic era lineup departing, leaving vocalist Mark Hunter to rebuild the band with a new roster. Speaking of this collection, which will arrive digitally this Halloween (October 31st), Hunter offered:<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve been working to bring you streaming versions of some of our rarest B-sides.<\/p>\n
Back in the day the A-side was the hit single and the B-side was the \u201cextra content\u201d \u2013 experimental songs, non-album tracks, or covers. Usually, they sucked. Sometimes you\u2019d get a \u201cBreadfan\u201d or \u201cGod Save the Queen\u201d, but let\u2019s not kid ourselves \u2013 you\u2019re not getting that here. These are the songs that didn\u2019t make our albums for a reason.<\/p>\n
But if surviving the cutting room floor is a badge of honor, these tracks wear it proudly. Some fans love them. Others think we were right to bury them. Most didn\u2019t know they existed.<\/p>\n

It pays tribute to various film franchises and studios past, including Cannon Films, \u2018The Shining\u2018, \u2018Hellraiser\u2018 and more.
