\n\tAhead of her planned Boston performance, Sasha Colby<\/a> is hanging up her heels for some much needed rest.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Season 15 winner<\/a> of RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race<\/a> announced on Sunday that she\u2019s made \u201cthe incedibly difficult decision\u201d to postpone the remaining nine shows of her Stripped II Tour of North America.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis has been one of the hardest decisions l\u2019ve ever had to make,\u201d she started in a statement<\/a> on Instagram. \u201cSince winning Drag Race, l\u2019ve been going nonstop: gig after gig, city after city, saying yes and trying to make the most of every opportunity that\u2019s come my way. As a trans woman of color in this industry, l\u2019ve pushed myself relentlessly, often feeling like I needed to prove that I belong here.<\/p>\n

\n\tNoting that the tour has been \u201ca dream come true\u201d and \u201ca labor of love,\u201d she added: \u201cBut the truth is that I am exhausted. Twenty-one shows in five weeks took a much bigger toll on me than I expected, both physically and emotionally. My mind and heart are tired in ways I can\u2019t ignore anymore. I\u2019ve always tried to push through, but this time I need to listen to my body and spirit.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWith that, l\u2019ve made the incredibly difficult decision to postpone the remaining nine shows of the tour,\u201d Colby continued. \u201cTo everyone who bought a ticket, showed up, and supported me, please know how deeply sorry I am. This decision comes from a place of necessity, not desire. I never want to let anyone down.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tColby added that refunds are being processed, \u201cand I promise l\u2019ll be back to make it up to you. But I need to take this time to rest, to recover, and to take care of my mental health.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMy chosen family keeps reminding me that this isn\u2019t about giving up; it\u2019s about choosing myself for once. It\u2019s hard to fully believe that right now, but deep down I know they\u2019re right. I want to come back stronger, more grounded, and ready to give you the best version of me,\u201d she concluded. \u201cThank you for your endless love, your compassion, and for holding space for me to be human. I\u2019ll see you soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tColby kicked off her Stripped II Tour on Sept. 26 at Seattle\u2019s Moore Theatre, making her the first drag artist to headline a Live Nation<\/a> tour.<\/p>\n
