The Cleveland Cavaliers<\/a> faced the Milwaukee Bucks<\/a> in its 2025-26 season home opener yesterday, Sunday, Oct. 26 at Rocket Arena\u2014continuing its sellout streak to 146 games since the 2022-23 season. The Cavs won, 118-113.<\/p>\n

Cavs\u2019 business operations president Bill Fagan says he is confident that the fans will keep coming back for more this season.<\/p>\n

\"TheThe Classic Edition jerseys that mark the team\u2019s 55th season and are a flashback in team\u2019s uniform history.”As we sit here today going into the home opener, we’ve had 146 consecutive sellouts at Rocket Arena,\u201d Fagan said last week after the season opener against the New York Knicks<\/a> (the Cavs lost, 111-119). \u201cAnd so the home opener, knock on wood, will be [sellout] 147. And we’re poised to keep the streak going for quite a long time.\u201d<\/p>\n

The enthusiasm surrounding the team and the new season is well-earned, after what Fagan describes as “one of our best seasons ever on the court.” The Cavaliers posted 64 regular season wins and have established themselves as a consistent powerhouse in the league.<\/p>\n

“We’ve actually won the third most games in the entire NBA over the past three seasons,” Fagan boasts, adding that Darius Garland<\/a>, Evan Mobley<\/a>, and Donovan Mitchell<\/a> being named to the NBA All-Star team last season and coach Kenny Atkinson earning the Coach of the Year<\/a> title.<\/p>\n

The Cavs franchise has added fan perks and amenities to help continue the home game sellout streak and create an even more enjoyable fan experience.<\/p>\n

For instance, the team has invested in a redesigned mobile app that serves as a comprehensive hub for fan interaction. The app has a dedicated member hub for season ticket holders and provides access to the team’s rewards program.<\/p>\n

The Cavs rewards program<\/a>, now in its second season, represents what Fagan calls “really cutting edge” technology. Fans can earn points through various activities and redeem them for exclusive experiences.<\/p>\n

\u201cFans can earn prizes based on using and participating in the rewards program,\u201d explains Fagan. \u201cThey can win an all expenses paid trip to a Cavs away game, they can win a behind the scenes broadcast experience, they could win a courtside experience and Dan Gilbert seats, or they can even win a private dinner with some of our Cavs legends.\u201d<\/p>\n

Food and drink upgrade
The culinary experience at Rocket Arena went up a level this season, with new food partners and menu items. The nostalgic Ohio-based burger joint chain Swensons<\/a> will operate two new concourse locations\u2014offering its signature Galley Boy burgers and potato teasers.<\/p>\n

Insomnia Cookies<\/a> joins as the Cavs\u2019 official cookie partner with two arena locations, while existing food stands have expanded their offerings. For instance, Elmore Smith\u2019s Smokehouse<\/a> now has a Mediterranean chickpea chicken salad and loaded barbecue beef brisket tots; while Great Lakes Brewery<\/a>, the team’s official craft beer partner, has created a special Easy Buckets Pale Ale<\/a> for the season, available both in the arena and at participating brewery locations throughout Northeast Ohio.<\/p>\n

A Cavalanche of freebies
The Cavaliers have partnered with local Wendy’s<\/a> to promote the team\u2019s “Cavalanches.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"CavalancheCavalanche at Rocket Arena.\u201cWhen there’s a sudden overwhelming rush of excitement, when the Cavaliers are on a hot streak in the game, it can launch a what we call a \u2018Cavalanche in the building,\u2019 explains Fagan. \u201cWhen the Cavalanche launches, it\u2019s a signal to all the fans that they can go the following day, for the next 24 hours, and get a free Frosty at any participating Wendy’s location.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fagan says the team will also partner with Wendy\u2019s to have several popup events throughout Northeast Ohio this season.<\/p>\n

“We’re going to be doing a bunch of these pop-ups throughout Northeast Ohio in partnership with Wendy’s, where we’re going to have the Cavs entertainment teams<\/a> and other surprises for fans out in the community, so they can really feel the excitement,” Fagan says.<\/p>\n

There will be seven major giveaway nights at Rocket Arena, including two bobblehead giveaways honoring current All-Star Evan Mobley and Cavaliers legend Anderson Varejao<\/a>. There will be an additional 32 themed nights throughout the year.<\/p>\n

Jump back
The Cavaliers have introduced Classic Edition jerseys<\/a> that mark the team\u2019s 55th season and are a flashback in the team\u2019s history. The navy blue uniforms with wine and gold accents are similar to the Cavs jerseys worn from 2003 to 2010, which honored the Miracle of Richfield<\/a> designs of the 1970s when the Cavs played at Richfield Coliseum<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The team will wear the throwback uniforms for nine home games and three away games, including their Christmas Day matchup against the New York Knicks.<\/p>\n

Retail experiences have also been enhanced with new RFID technology that cuts checkout times in half at both the Center Court team shop<\/a> at Rocket Arena and the Pinecrest location<\/a> in Beachwood.<\/p>\n
