Glamour<\/a>, Hull expressed confusion over Bonner\u2019s seemingly unexplained exit.<\/p>\n\u201cI was super, super, super excited because finally there\u2019s a [player in my position] that I can look up to that has won in the league and has all these accomplishments and knows what it takes, and I can learn something from her,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd then she randomly leaves, and we\u2019re all just kind of like, \u2018What happened?\u2019 We were never given an explanation.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bonner, who has played in the WNBA for 16 seasons, joined the Phoenix Mercury following her time with the Fever.<\/p>\n
Hull acknowledged the difficulty of Bonner leaving, yet also acknowledged that it may have made the team stronger in the long run.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo have no explanation was really challenging, but I think that helped us grow closer together because we\u2019re like, \u2018All right, this is us. We\u2019re here. We\u2019re going to support each other. We\u2019re loving each other. We\u2019re going to fight for each other. We\u2019re not going to leave. We\u2019re in this together.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
