Julie Bowen is visiting her son at college<\/p>\n
The actress shared a series of photos on her Instagram from her time spent at the University of Oregon, which included photos watching the football game<\/p>\n
Bowen was also pictured with her former Modern Family costar Ty Burrell<\/p>\n
Julie Bowen<\/a> is spending some quality time with her oldest \u2014 and bringing along a friend.<\/p>\n The actress, 55, shared a series of photographs on her Instagram<\/a> on Sunday, Oct. 26, after spending the weekend with her son Oliver, 18, at his college, the University of Oregon. In one sweet snap, Bowen could be seen smiling next to her teenage son, who posed next to his mom.<\/p>\n She also included a picture of Autzen Stadium, which featured a rainbow, as well as a shot of the arena during a downpour. Another photo showed Bowen alongside her former Modern Family costar and University of Oregon alum Ty Burrell<\/a>, who leaned over to get in frame.<\/p>\n “Great (wet) weekend with\u00a0@itsoliverphillips<\/a>\u00a0at U of Oregon. In one photo, Bowen could be seen hugging her son, and in another, Oliver made a heart out of his hands with his dad, Phillips.<\/p>\n A third photo showed Bowen and her son smiling together in a mother-son selfie, and in the last photo, Bowen got a ride on her ex-husband Phillips’ shoulders in Oliver’s dorm room.<\/p>\n “Sweet Baby Oliver\u2026you were born 5 minutes ago, so how can I possibly be leaving you at college? You made me a mother, and I learned more (and been humbled more) from being your mom for the past 18 years than I could ever have imagined,” Bowen sweetly wrote in her caption.<\/p>\n “Now I have to learn to do the hardest thing a parent has the privilege of doing and let you go. No, it\u2019s NOT forever, but it\u2019s the end of one big chapter, so – yeah – I\u2019m going to cry,” she continued. “(I\u2019m also 100% percent going to sit on your Dad\u2019s shoulders to work on the lighting in your dorm room.) I love you, Monkey. Always No matter what. \ud83d\udc9a\ud83d\udc9b.”<\/p>\n In June, she shared a series of photos on\u00a0her Instagram<\/a>\u00a0as she celebrated Oliver’s high school graduation<\/a>. In one photo, Bowen could be seen wearing a blue dress and smiling next to her son, who wore a graduation gown and opened his mouth for a cigar.<\/p>\n On Oliver’s other side, Phillips held up a cigar to his son’s mouth as they posed for the photo. The proud mom also included a solo shot of Oliver, as well as a throwback photo from a previous graduation.<\/p>\n “To the most original, interesting, and funny kid I know\u2026congratulations\u00a0@itsoliverphillips<\/a>!” Bowen wrote in her caption. “You are a high school graduate!
