It\u2019s a sad time for twee girls everywhere: It seems extremely clear that Lily Allen and David Harbour are separated, marking the end of what once appeared to be a very cool and happy couple with great taste in home furnishings. Now comes the time we must say another painful good-bye \u2014 to their ridiculously dreamy townhouse. According to TMZ<\/a>, Allen and Harbour have listed their Carroll Gardens brownstone for sale. Per the real-estate listing<\/a>, which went up Sunday, the home is selling for $7,995,000, more than double the $3,350,000 they reportedly paid for it in 2021.<\/p>\n

Prospective buyers have more than the listing photos to judge from. Allen and Harbour\u2019s home was featured in Architectural Digest<\/a> in 2023, and the magazine put out a very popular house-tour video<\/a>. After purchasing the house, the then-couple extensively redesigned it into a maximalist\u2019s dream, complete with boldly colored accents, whimsical floral wallpaper, and crown molding that could make any Brooklyn renter cry tears of envy. It also has multiple walk-in closets, a fireplace, a private backyard with a sauna and cold plunge, and a kitchen the size of my apartment.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Alas, it is no more. Speculation that Allen and Harbour had broken up has been swirling since December<\/a>, but the British pop star seemed to confirm the split last week with the release of her first album in seven years, West End Girl. On the album, Allen appears to air out long-standing rumors that Harbour had cheated on her. On the title song, she seems to reference the townhouse that\u2019s now on the market: \u201cNow I\u2019m looking at houses with four or five floors \/ And you\u2019ve found us a brownstone, said, \u2018You want it? It\u2019s yours.\u2019\u201d She even shouted out their interior designer by name and suggested she might have had misgivings about buying the luxurious home: \u201cSo we went ahead and we bought it \/ Found ourselves a good mortgage \/ Billy Cotton got sorted \/ All the furniture ordered \/ I could never afford this \/ You were pushing it forward \/ Made me feel a bit awkward.\u201d<\/p>\n

At least she stands to make a couple million from the sale. I\u2019m really looking forward to the Architectural Digest tour of her bachelorette pad whenever she\u2019s ready for it. Until then, anyone have $7,995,000 I can borrow?<\/p>\n
