Casamigos founders George Clooney and Rande Gerber <\/a>have been crafting a non-alcoholic beer as their next venture together, sources tell Page Six.<\/p>\n The duo \u2014 who sold their tequila company for $1 billion <\/a>to Diageo in 2017 with their business partner Mike Meldman \u2014 will launch the new non-proof brew with Meldman in March, we hear.<\/p>\n The planned non-boozy brand seemingly has a similar origin story to Casamigos \u2014 which was created when Clooney and Gerber were neighbors with matching Mexican retreats. <\/p>\n They\u2019re also known for their buddy motorcycle adventures together through Mexico, Spain and other locales. Getty Images<\/p>\n \u201cRande, George and Mike didn\u2019t disappear into retirement \u2014 they leaned into the life they\u2019ve always lived,\u201d says some verbiage about the upcoming project, we hear. \u201cBetween bike trips and late-night laughs, they have been quietly crafting something new: a non-alcoholic beer made for real friends, by real friends and the freedom to wake up ready for whatever comes next.\u201d<\/p>\n Clooney recently talked about how he was a teetotaler while starring on Broadway\u2026 only to get \u201cblasted\u201d on Tony night when he lost at the awards.<\/p>\n \u201cI got\u00a0blasted,\u201d he told the famed mag in October.<\/a> \u201cBarely-walking drunk, you know? Came home with [wife] Amal [Clooney], and I was just\u00a0laughing.\u00a0We\u2019re lying in bed, and I go, \u2018Well, I caught up for all my abstinence in one night.\u2019 I was sick all day the next day; it was hysterical. I was like high school drunk. Like dumbass drunk.\u201d<\/p>\n Clooney and Gerber hatched their tequila when they were neighbors in Mexico.
