Nine weeks into the 2025 season, we are not too far removed from the first College Football Playoff rankings. One more Saturday takes place between now and then, getting the initial top 25 revealed on Nov. 4.<\/p>\n

Before then, other rankings are still being used. Primarily the AP poll but the BCS remains alive due to the X account \u2018BCS Know How.\u2019 Mondays bring the latest top 25<\/a> from college football\u2019s old method of determining the national champion.<\/p>\n

There is some change throughout due to Week 9 results. Let\u2019s check out the full thing below, beginning in Columbus, OH.<\/p>\n

From the moment they started the season out 1-0, many believed Ohio State was the best team in the country. And to this point, there are no disagreements coming from the BCS.<\/p>\n

Just one game remains against a team ranked by the BCS for Ohio State. Many expected Saturday\u2019s Penn State<\/a> matchup to be an incredible one but as the Nittany Lions go through changes, the sting has been taken out.<\/p>\n

The Big Ten occupies the top two spots in the latest top 25. Indiana remains No. 2 after dismantling UCLA<\/a> in Bloomington, possibly a statement win for the Hoosiers, 56-6.<\/p>\n

Similar to Ohio State, not much remains on the schedule when it comes to ranked opponents. A pathway to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Championship is there for the taking.<\/p>\n

Texas A&M finds itself as one of six FBS programs still undefeated heading into November. No win more cathartic than going into Baton Rouge at night and emptying the stadium out pretty early.<\/p>\n

Even so, the Aggies do not move off their No. 3 spot per the BCS. However, the gap did shrink between them and Indiana on the BCS score.<\/p>\n

Crisis avoided for Kalen DeBoer<\/a>, escaping Columbia, SC, with a win. Alabama barely took care of business vs. an unranked South Carolina<\/a> after ripping off four straight wins against ranked opponents.<\/p>\n

Now, they will get to watch some carnage unfold from home on Saturday. A bye week takes place before setting up an important final four-week stretch.<\/p>\n

Ever since the Alabama loss, Georgia has quietly played nice football. Rest and recovery took place during Week 9 after three straight SEC wins, two of which were on the road.<\/p>\n

Kirby Smart<\/a> leads his team into a rivalry game in Jacksonville to start a fun month of November. A trip to the SEC Championship is still a possibility, while at least one more big win might be needed to comfortably slot in the College Football Playoff.<\/p>\n

For the first time in the Lane Kiffin<\/a> era, Ole Miss beat a ranked team away from home. Through all the outside noise, the Rebels are making noise on the national stage once again.<\/p>\n

With it comes movement in the BCS standings. Ole Miss comes in at No. 6 after finding itself a spot lower just a week ago.<\/p>\n

Rainy conditions in Eugene meant Oregon faced offensive challenges against Wisconsin<\/a>. Only 21 points were put up on the board, the second-lowest total of the season for the Ducks.<\/p>\n

Since Ole Miss moved up, Oregon was the one to slide down a spot. They are another team taking a bye on Nov. 1 to set up an exciting final month with a couple big-time rivalry games.<\/p>\n

Getting back to the undefeateds, Georgia Tech is 8-0 for the first time since 1966. Brent Key<\/a> continues to do incredible things in Atlanta, growing closer to a spot in the ACC Championship game.<\/p>\n

A lot of calendars have Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate circled on their calendars too. But for now, the Yellow Jackets are likely focused on NC State<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One of four Big 12 teams in the BCS top 25, none are higher than BYU. Not having anything in the loss column certainly helps eight games into the season.<\/p>\n

Like others throughout the top 10, BYU does not take the field in Week 10. Traveling to Lubbock the following week means a little bit more than bragging rights are going to be on the line.<\/p>\n

Miami got back to winning ways by beating Stanford but ultimately moved down a spot in the BCS standings. A lot of that had to do with BYU compared to the Hurricanes\u2019 performance on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Now, an absolute sprint to the finish line takes place. Of Miami\u2019s final five regular season games, three are away from home. Mario Cristobal<\/a> will need to get his team to dig deep to finish strongly.<\/p>\n
