Columbus, OH death metal outfit Sanguisugabogg have commented on what appears to be a manipulated version of their logo showing up on an upcoming new merch offering from streetwear brand Revenge. That jacket is set to go on sale this coming Friday, October 31st. Per their social media, the band were not consulted nor approached ahead of time. They took the time to addressing it on their socials this afternoon (October 29th) as follows:<\/p>\n

Speaking in the comments of Revenge\u2018s Instagram post<\/a> announcing the line and offending jacket, Sanguisugabogg were a bit more sour, stating via their band account, \u201cJuice Wrld would never..\u201d followed by a thumbs down emoji. The band\u2019s drummer Cody Davidson further added, \u201cthanks for asking to use our logo i guess? tf?\u201d, while guitarist\/bassist Drew Arnold stated, \u201cSend us a check\u201d.<\/p>\n Ironically, there is some legal precedent for this type of logo or trademark brand appropriation in the metal world crossing over into the hip hop world, and it comes via an archnemesis of Sanguisugabogg<\/a>: Falling In Reverse\u2018s Ronnie Radke.<\/p>\n Back in 2020, Radke sued rapper Playboy Carti for using the phrase \u2018Falling In Reverse\u2019 on one of his merch offerings. That suit ended in a settlement in 2020 with Radke being paid out a lump sum<\/a>, with additional guarantees that the offending parties would never again use the Falling In Reverse trademark.<\/p>\n
