The Glyph light system has been a hallmark of Nothing\u2019s smartphones since the company launched its first model<\/a> three years ago. But it seems like each time the company introduces a new model, it reimagines those LED lights on the back of the phone. And the new Nothing Phone (3a) Lite<\/a> feature the most scaled back version yet.<\/p>\n

While the Nothing Phone (3) that launched this summer<\/a> has a tiny LED matrix for animated displays, the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite has just a single notification light, which feels a bit like a throwback to a time when\u00a0most Android phones had LED lights for notifications.<\/p>\n

The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite is available now in the UK and Europe with prices starting at \u00a3249<\/a> and \u20ac249<\/a>, respectively. Nothing hasn\u2019t announced any plans to offer the new phone in the US.<\/p>\n

Nothing says that despite the minimal notification light, the phone still has the company\u2019s \u201csignature transparent design\u201d with a glass back covering a body that comes in black or white color options.<\/p>\n

The budget phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro 5G processor and comes with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage.<\/p>\n

It has a 6.77 inch, 2392 x 1084 pixel, 120 Hz AMOLED display with up to 3000 nits peak brightness and 800 nits typical brightness. There display supports adaptive refresh rates and has a 1000 Hz touch sampling rate and 2160 Hz PWM frequency.<\/p>\n

Nothing equips the Phone (3a) Lite with a 5,000 mAh battery and the hone supports up to 33 watt fast charging.<\/p>\n

Cameras include a 50MP primary camera, 8MP ultrawide camera, and 2MP macro camera on the back of the phone and a 16MP camera on the front. The primary camera supports 4K\/30fps or 1080p\/60fps video recording and electronic image stabilization.<\/p>\n

Other features include support for WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and dual-SIM 5G support, a fingerprint sensor, and the phone is rated IP54 for water and dust resistance.<\/p>\n

It ships with Nothing OS 3.5, which is based on Android 15. Nothing promises to deliver major OS updates for at least three years and security updates for six years.<\/p>\n
