Ruben Amorim<\/a> should be a happy man as Manchester United<\/a> close in on another attacking signing.<\/p>\n

Bryan Mbeumo is finally close to joining United<\/a> ahead of the pre-season tour to the United States.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s taken a while, but the Brentford forward finally looks to be heading for Old Trafford<\/a> in the coming days.<\/p>\n

Amorim may quickly turn his attention to other positions, with a striker surely wanted as United chase more goals.<\/p>\n

Jackson has been pushed down the pecking order, and United are sniffing around.<\/p>\n

Speculation in midweek highlighted Chelsea\u2019s interest in Alejandro Garnacho<\/a>, potentially in a swap for Jackson.<\/p>\n

BBC Sport\u2019s Nizaar Kinsella now claims that United have spoken to Jackson\u2019s agent Ali Barat, ahead of a potential move.<\/p>\n

Kinsella notes that United need \u2018a lot\u2019 to happen in terms of outgoings in order to fund a move for Jackson.<\/p>\n

United need to sell players after committing funds to Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, so a deal for Jackson does not appear imminent.<\/p>\n

Kinsella adds that a deal for Jackson to join United \u2018could happen in the right circumstances\u2019, with the Senegal striker seemingly a prime target for United.<\/p>\n

Potential Nicolas Jackson asking price emerges<\/p>\n

Recent reports claimed Chelsea could seek \u00a3100million for Jackson<\/a> amid interest from AC Milan.<\/p>\n

United certainly wouldn\u2019t pay \u00a3100million for Jackson, and we can\u2019t imagine many clubs would jump at that asking price.<\/p>\n

Chelsea\u2019s investment in new strikers means interested clubs, such as United, may prefer to sit back and wait for the price to drop.<\/p>\n

iNews<\/a> now claim that Chelsea will seek around \u00a360million for Jackson, and clubs believe that price could still drop.<\/p>\n

United will hope to flog the likes of Jadon Sancho, Antony and the aforementioned Garnacho before potentially launching a move for Jackson.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old may have some shaky moments in front of goal, but 24 goals in 65 Premier League games is a decent record, and his pace should be very appealing to United \u2013 especially if Chelsea are willing to sell.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
