Idaho Fish and Game is appealing to the public for assistance in solving two wildlife crimes that occurred in or near Osburn between Oct. 19 and 22. <\/p>\n
The first incident involved an elk that was shot and left to waste off Nuchols Gulch Road in Osburn. <\/p>\n
The elk, believed to have been killed on Oct. 19, was shot behind the shoulder, and no meat was taken. <\/p>\n
The second incident involved a mule deer doe that was illegally killed during a closed season. <\/p>\n
The quarters and backstraps were removed from the deer, which was found up Polaris Peak Road at a Large Tracts Program gate. <\/p>\n
These crimes are violations of Idaho law and represent losses of valuable public resources. <\/p>\n
Idaho Fish and Game emphasized that fish and wildlife in Idaho belong to all Idahoans, and such crimes steal from everyone who values and enjoys them. <\/p>\n
