Boston Bruins star defenseman Hampus Lindholm missed Thursday\u2019s morning skate before tonight\u2019s home game against the Buffalo Sabres, but he had a very good reason for it.<\/p>\n
According to Bruins head coach Marco Sturm, Lindholm and his fianc\u00e9e, Amanda, welcomed a baby girl<\/a> early Thursday morning. Sturm broke the news to the media during his pregame press conference on Thursday morning, adding that \u201ceveryone\u2019s doing fine.\u201d<\/p>\n Lindholm isn\u2019t taking any time off, however, and is still expected to play on Thursday, according to Sturm.<\/p>\n Hampus Lindholm missed Bruins morning skate on Thursday, but for a very good reason: He and his fianc\u00e9e, Amanda, welcomed a baby girl Thursday morning. He missed eight games due to a lower-body injury that landed him on the injured reserve, but he returned to the ice<\/a> on Tuesday and helped the Bruins beat the New York Islanders 5-2<\/a> at TD Garden.<\/p>\n Story continues below advertisement<\/p>\n Lindholm got his first point of the season in that game on an assist. He and Boston will look to build off Tuesday\u2019s win against the Sabres, who are 4-4-2 and coming off back-to-back overtime losses to the Toronto Maple Leafs and Columbus Blue Jackets.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n After playing just 17 games last year due to injuries, Lindholm is doing everything he can to stay in the lineup this season.
