Google today released new October builds for the Pixel 7-10 series, with Verizon shedding some light on what this update brings.<\/p>\n

At the start of this month<\/a>, Google released Global (Pixel 7-10) and Japan (Pixel 9a-10 Pro XL) updates. This afternoon, each of those builds were updated<\/a>. (There\u2019s no Pixel Tablet update.)<\/p>\n

For example, the Pixel 10 went from\u00a0BD3A.251005.003.W3 to BD3A.251005.003.W4, with the last number going up.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Google has not updated its monthly community post or released a new one detailing what\u2019s new, but Verizon says<\/a> that the \u201cupdate provides performance improvements for your device.\u201d<\/p>\n

The release note sounds generic, but Verizon is usually good about detailing what\u2019s new. For example, the US carrier previously revealed that September\u2019s second update for the Pixel 10<\/a> series addressed an \u201cissue that caused users to experience a fuzzy display.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pixel users on Verizon are reporting that the updates come in at around 30 MB. We\u2019re not seeing an OTA on Google Fi, with this update not yet widely available on other carriers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The timing is curious as we should only be a few days away from the November 2025 security patch. If this is a security patch, Google has yet to detail the problem in an advisory. As a reminder, the October 2025 Security Bulletin<\/a> listed zero fixes.<\/p>\n

You can always sideload the OTA<\/a>, but it\u2019s probably best to wait for the on-device update given the lack of details.<\/p>\n
