Jimmy Kimmel couldn\u2019t help but laugh after Ted Cruz ripped into Marjorie Taylor Greene\u2019s supposed new liberal beliefs.<\/p>\n

The comedian addressed the ongoing government shutdown during Thursday\u2019s monologue on \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live!,\u201d where he applauded Greene, a far-right representative from Georgia, for \u201cchallenging\u201d her party amid the standstill.<\/p>\n

\u201cYesterday, we learned that insurance premiums for millions of Americans, their healthcare is about to skyrocket. One of the only Republicans who seems to care about that is, of all people, Marjorie Taylor Greene,\u201d he said. \u201cShe\u2019s been challenging her party and the speaker of the house, which is so interesting because there\u2019s a woman who didn\u2019t just drink the Kool-Aid, she chugged it.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cI mean, she drank all the Kool-Aid \u2014 and not just the regular flavors like, \u2018close the borders\u2019 and \u2018the election was stolen.\u2019 She drank the obscure limited time only flavors like, \u2018Jewish Space Laser\u2019 and \u2018Pizzagate.\u2019 And now she\u2019s looking around at these people and she\u2019s like, \u2018Are you guys nuts?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel joked that Greene had gone \u201cso far right\u201d she had \u201ccome out on the other side.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yet, as the late night host highlighted, many of Greene\u2019s Republican peers \u2014 including Senator Cruz \u2014 did not appreciate her criticism.<\/p>\n

\u201cTed Cruz is so upset with Marjorie he can barely unhinge his jaw to swallow a piglet,\u201d Kimmel joked before showing footage of the Texas senator accusing Greene of adopting \u201cvery liberal\u201d beliefs.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course that\u2019s a just a brazen lie. She\u2019s not for open borders. She\u2019s not for amnesty,\u201d Kimmel continued. \u201cBut I have to say, I love this. It feels like \u2018Jurassic Park\u2019 when the velociraptors turn on the guys who run the place.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Greene is set to get more attention in coming days, as she\u2019s booked appearances on both \u201cReal Time With Bill Maher\u201d and \u201cThe View.\u201d<\/p>\n
