Shocking new details have emerged following the sudden death<\/a> of Limp Bizkit bassist and co-founder Sam Rivers earlier this month.<\/p>\n

Rivers, who\u00a0passed away at the age of 48<\/a> on Saturday, Oct. 18, reportedly died in the bathroom of his Florida home, according to an incident report obtained by TMZ<\/a> on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The report revealed that a deputy from the St. Johns County Sheriff\u2019s Department in St. Augustine said a caller identified only as\u00a0Keely informed police that she found the musician face down in his bathroom just before she dialed 911.<\/p>\n

Keely went on to tell the emergency dispatchers that she discovered Rivers in a pool of blood and performed CPR, according to the 911 call audio obtained by the outlet.<\/p>\n

The deputy confirmed that they also performed CPR upon arriving at the musician\u2019s home until St. Johns County Fire Rescue arrived at the scene and pronounced him dead, per the incident report.<\/p>\n

They added that Rivers appeared to have a cut above his eye, which they suggested was a possible result of a fall from the toilet.<\/p>\n

The Limp Bizkit co-founder\u2019s face and neck were said to be dark blue while the rest of his body was flushed, which the authorities noted in their report is common during instances of pulmonary embolism.<\/p>\n

A small amount of coagulated blood was also said to be found in the bathroom where he died, and Keely reportedly told the deputies that Rivers had a liver transplant in 2018 which he was prescribed several different medications to treat.<\/p>\n

The nu metal bassist\u2019s official cause of death, meanwhile, remains unclear.<\/p>\n

The Post has reached out to the St. Johns County Sheriff\u2019s Office for comment.<\/p>\n

Limp Bizkit, which was founded by Rivers and Fred Durst in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1994, announced the beloved bassist\u2019s shocking passing in an Instagram post<\/a>\u00a0on Oct. 18.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday we lost our brother. Our bandmate. Our heartbeat,\u201d the nu metal band began. \u201cSam Rivers wasn\u2019t just our bass player \u2014 he was pure magic. The pulse beneath every song, the calm in the chaos, the soul in the sound.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom the first note we ever played together, Sam brought a light and a rhythm that could never be replaced,\u201d the \u201cBreak Stuff\u201d rockers continued. \u201cHis talent was effortless, his presence unforgettable, his heart enormous.\u201d<\/p>\n

Signed by his bandmates Durst, Wes Borland, John Otto and DJ Lethal, the group went on to remember Rivers as a \u201conce-in-a-lifetime kind of human\u201d<\/a> and a \u201ctrue legend of legends.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHis spirit will live forever in every groove, every stage, every memory,\u201d they added. \u201cWe love you, Sam. We\u2019ll carry you with us, always.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cRest easy, brother,\u201d Durst, Borland, Otto and Lethal concluded their tribute. \u201cYour music never ends.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Rivers served as the \u201cTake a Look Around\u201d group\u2019s original bassist, he briefly departed the band in 2015 for what he later revealed was liver disease caused by alcohol abuse.<\/p>\n

The \u201cTruth\u201d bassist rejoined the Grammy-nominated band in 2018 and remained a key member of the group until his death.\u00a0He performed his last concert with Limp Bizkit at the Leeds Festival in the UK in August.<\/p>\n
