Whoopi Goldberg shocked the audience of ABC\u2019s \u201cThe View\u201d on Wednesday when she revealed Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) \u2013 a longtime Trump ally \u2013 will appear on the lefty talk show next week.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe View\u201d isn\u2019t usually seen as friendly territory for GOPers, with its infamously progressive slew of hosts. But Greene has been making the rounds on lefty channels since siding with Dems\u2019 calls to extend Obamacare tax credits \u2013 the main sticking point in the government shutdown.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople in Washington are starting to say \u2018my constituents.\u2019 You know, they\u2019re starting to remember why they\u2019re there,\u201d Goldberg said during the show Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cMarjorie Taylor Greene \u2013 I\u2019m happy to say that she\u2019s going to be here on Tuesday,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Someone in the studio can be heard gasping and saying, \u201cOh!\u201d while the audience applauded.<\/p>\n

Greene\u2019s guest appearance \u201chappens to be on Election Day,\u201d co-host Joy Behar added.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know how many things we agree on, but I know the one thing that she and I and all of us at this table agree on is this should not be affecting the American people,\u201d Goldberg continued, referencing the shutdown \u2013 which has entered its 31st day with no end in sight.<\/p>\n

The hosts of \u201cThe View\u201d \u2013 including Goldberg, Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro \u2013 stunned their audience earlier this month by showering the Georgia congresswoman with praise<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

At the time, Goldberg lauded Greene as \u201ca very surprising voice of reason.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat the hell is going on?\u201d Goldberg joked.<\/p>\n

Behar jumped in, saying the congresswoman \u201calso has a couple of kids who need \u2013 the insurance premiums are going up, so it\u2019s very personal to her. You know, I\u2019ll take it.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a social media post earlier this month, Greene clarified she is \u201cnot a fan\u201d of Obamacare, adding that she was not in Congress when the 44th president\u2019s signature legislation took effect in 2010.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I\u2019m going to go against everyone on this issue because when the tax credits expire this year my own adult children\u2019s insurance premiums for 2026 are going to DOUBLE, along with all the wonderful families and hard-working people in my district,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin joked: \u201cIt\u2019s a dark day when Marjorie Taylor Greene is the voice of reason.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut you know what they say about a blind squirrel, so I completely agree with her,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n
