FALMOUTH, Maine (WGME) — A lion\u2019s mane jellyfish was spotted floating near a beach in Falmouth. It was about the size of a car tire.<\/p>\n
Experts say Maine has been seeing more of these creatures because of warming ocean temps.<\/p>\n
Jellyfish warnings have been issued by several southern Maine communities along the coast this summer.<\/p>\n
Lion’s mane are big and a red and purple color, while moon jelly fish are clear and much smaller.<\/p>\n
Although beautiful, officials say you should not touch it as they do sting.<\/p>\n
