Win Butler and R\u00e9gine Chassagne, co-founders of the band Arcade Fire, have announced that they are splitting up after 22 years of marriage. <\/p>\n
\u201cAfter a long and loving marriage, Win and R\u00e9gine have decided to separate,\u201d a statement posted on the band\u2019s Instagram account<\/a> said. \u201cThey continue to love, admire and support each other as they co-parent their son. <\/p>\n \u201cTheir work in Haiti with KANPE<\/a> continues and their bond as creative soulmates will endure, as will Arcade Fire,\u201c the statement continued. \u201dThe band send their love and look forward to seeing you all soon.\u201d <\/p>\n Butler and Chassagne married in 2003, a year before Arcade Fire released its debut album, \u201cFuneral.\u201d Their son was born in 2013. <\/p>\n In 2022, several women came forward accusing Butler of sexual misconduct<\/a> between 2016 and 2020. Butler denied the accusations, saying that he did have affairs but they were consensual. <\/p>\n \u201cWhile these relationships were all consensual, I am very sorry to anyone who I have hurt with my behavior,\u201d he said in a statement at the time.<\/p>\n Chassagne released a statement at the time defending her husband, saying \u201cI know what is in his heart, and I know he has never, and would never, touch a woman without her consent and I am certain he never did.<\/p>\n \u201cHe has lost his way and he has found his way back.
