Three years after parading a kid on stage as an Oscar with Will Smith’s red handprint<\/a> on their face, The View<\/a> has continued its annual holiday tradition of dressing children in unhinged Halloween costumes.\n<\/p>\n

While Entertainment Weekly exclusively reported earlier this week that the show’s cohosts would not dress up in Halloween costumes<\/a> for the second year in a row, the program still unveiled its “Boo Are You Wearing?” segment, which typically sees the show’s wardrobe staff crafting elaborate costumes for kids based on Hot Topics of the year.\n<\/p>\n

Sara Haines<\/a> hosted this year’s edition and kicked off the cavalcade of kids alongside wardrobe supervisor Ashley Alderfer Kaufman.<\/p>\n

After the first pair of kids sashayed to the stage while dressed as Labubus, others joined them, including a duo donning Wicked outfits, another wearing Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift outfits, and another as Pope Leo.\n<\/p>\n

Things got slightly more chaotic when Kaufman introduced a child’s costume that saw a youngster walk out to set with a barrel over his body, with the controversial \u2014 and subsequently canceled \u2014 Cracker Barrel logo on it.\n<\/p>\n

But the wildest View Halloween costume of the year came when two children walked out wearing getups inspired by the headline-making duo Andy Byron, former CEO of Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot<\/a>, the company’s former chief people officer<\/a>, who were caught embracing on the kiss cam at a Coldplay<\/a> concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., in July. Both were reportedly married to other people at the time of the incident.\n<\/p>\n

“So good!” conservative panelist Alyssa Farah Griffin<\/a> exclaimed as the children passed by, wearing a large black frame around them while the kids mimicked the scandalous moment, with the boy playing Byron ducking out of frame while the girl portraying Cabot placed her hand over her mouth in shock.\n<\/p>\n

After lead singer Chris Martin commented on their reactions, joking they might be having an affair, from the stage, both Byron and Cabot left the company, with Astronomer releasing a statement on the matter over the summer.\n<\/p>\n

“As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding,” the company said in a\u00a0statement shared online<\/a>, adding that its board was looking for a new CEO at the time. “Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met.”\n<\/p>\n

EW has reached out to Astronomer for comment on The View’s Halloween costume.\n<\/p>\n

The View has a long tradition of debuting wild Halloween costumes on the air. In addition to the aforementioned kids’ costumes, the cohosts have sported elaborate costumes of their own.\n<\/p>\n

In recent years, Haines sported prosthetics to portray Carl from Up<\/a>, Joy Behar wore a long nose to play Pinocchio, and Whoopi Goldberg<\/a> painted her skin yellow to play Marge Simpson.\n<\/p>\n
