ESPN\u2019s College GameDay gave Nick Saban the platform Saturday to clear the air on rumors and speculation about his name being linked to college football coaching openings.<\/p>\n
The popular college football pregame show spent some time talking about the splash hire and the dynamic of expectations surrounding the hiring of college coaches in today\u2019s climate. <\/p>\n
\u201cBefore we wrap this up, do you want to make an announcement since you are involved with all the jobs out there?\u201d Kirk Herbstreit asked Saban. \u201cDo you want to make an announcement?\u201d<\/p>\n
Pat McAfee jumped in, \u201cWhere you going? How much they paying you?\u201d<\/p>\n
Saban, who turned 74 on Friday, then spoke.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese guys are all coaching me,\u201d he said of his GameDay panel. \u201cI\u2019m a player now. I\u2019m not a coach.\u201d<\/p>\n
The comment comes a day after CFB Alerts listed Saban\u2019s name along with other candidates for the open LSU job. <\/p>\n
In a direct response to the post, Saban\u2019s daughter Kristen Saban shut down any rumors by replying, \u201cSome of y\u2019all are literally brain dead\u201d to the image.<\/p>\n
